How Long Does Full Mouth Reconstruction Take?
In this video, Dr. Karen Becerra-Penagos explains how full mouth reconstruction can move faster than many patients expect, and how implant options can change both the timeline and the outcome.
When a patient needs a full mouth reconstruction, we follow a clear process to ensure the treatment is successful. First, we evaluate whether any teeth need to be removed, whether bone grafting is necessary, or if additional procedures such as sinus lifts are required. All of this planning is done to create the most predictable and stable outcome.
In many cases, treatment can be completed within about 1 month to 1.5 months. With mini dental implants, we can often deliver the final result much faster because healing time is typically shorter. This approach is also more affordable and generally more convenient for patients.
Every case is different, and timing depends on individual healing and any existing medical conditions. On average, most full mouth reconstruction cases are completed within one to two months. In some situations, when the bone quality is ideal, we may even be able to deliver the final teeth the same day.
We encourage you to visit our office for a free consultation. This allows us to properly evaluate your situation, discuss your goals, and create a customized treatment plan that works best for you or your loved one.
