The Implant Denture Process Explained

In this video, Dr. Karen Becerra-Penagos explains how implant-supported dentures can move faster than patients expect, and what makes same-day results possible for some smiles.

The process for getting an implant-supported denture is customized to each patient’s needs. It begins with careful planning to determine where the implants will be placed. At the same time, we work with the dental lab to design the denture based on that plan.

In many cases, the denture is ready on the day the implants are placed, allowing us to deliver both the implants and the denture during the same visit. Timing can vary depending on the complexity of the case. For most patients, the process takes about a week. More complex cases may take closer to a month.

For some patients, same-day implant dentures are possible. Because the case is planned in advance and coordinated with the lab, patients can come in and leave the same day with their implant-supported denture in place.
