The Dental Veneer Process Explained
In this video, Dr. Karen Becerra-Penagos explains how veneers are designed before they become permanent, and how patients can preview their new smile before the final step.
The process of getting veneers is relatively straightforward. It begins with a detailed evaluation to ensure the treatment plan aligns with what the patient wants to achieve. We start by digitally scanning the teeth and sending that information to the lab to create a proposed design.
Using 3D technology, we can create a trial version of the veneers that the patient can try on. This allows you to see and feel the proposed changes before anything is finalized. Once you approve the design, the lab creates the final porcelain veneers.
The veneers are then carefully bonded to the teeth. The entire process typically takes up to three appointments and is designed to be efficient and comfortable for the patient.
