Options for Replacing a Missing Tooth

In this video, Dr. Karen Bacerra Penagos explains how a single missing tooth can often be replaced in one visit, and what makes certain patients good candidates for a same-day implant and crown.

If you are missing a single tooth, the process starts with a visit to our office, where we take X-rays and photos to evaluate the area. This allows us to confirm that there is enough bone width and height to support an implant. We also review your health history to make sure the procedure can be done safely.

Once everything is confirmed, we numb the area and place the implant. After the implant is placed, we take a scan to design your crown. In many cases, this allows you to go home the same day with your new tooth in place.

The procedure is straightforward and typically involves little to no discomfort. Most patients leave feeling good, with their smile restored and the ability to speak, smile, and chew with confidence.
