Getting a dental implant is generally not a painful procedure. Before we begin, we make sure the area is completely numb so you are comfortable throughout the treatment. For patients who feel anxious, IV sedation may be an option to help them relax and remain comfortable during the procedure.

After the implant is placed, you are sent home with appropriate pain medication in case you experience any mild discomfort as you heal. Most patients are surprised by how manageable the process is.

Overall, dental implant placement is a straightforward procedure, and discomfort is typically minimal.
