Los resultados del blanqueamiento dental cambian de un paciente a otro. Esto depende de cuántos tonos se desea aclarar y de la condición del esmalte dental.

El blanqueamiento realizado en la clínica puede dar resultados más rápidos, pero puede causar sensibilidad dental temporal que no siempre es posible controlar por completo durante el procedimiento.

El blanqueamiento en casa puede tardar un poco más en mostrar cambios de color, pero permite que el paciente controle mejor la sensibilidad y ajuste la frecuencia de uso según su tolerancia.

La sensibilidad que puede aparecer durante el blanqueamiento es temporal y no debe ser permanente. Si el paciente presenta sensibilidad en casa, se recomienda usar una pasta dental formulada para ayudar a disminuirla. En estos casos, el tratamiento se puede alternar por días, dependiendo de la tolerancia y comodidad del paciente.

Algunos pacientes notan cambios en el color en aproximadamente una semana. Otros observan resultados desde las primeras aplicaciones. También es común ver una mejoría desde la primera consulta, dependiendo del nivel de aclaramiento que se busca lograr.
