Explicación del Proceso de las Carillas Dentales

En este video, la Dra. Myrna Aguilar explica cómo se colocan las carillas con desgaste mínimo o sin desgaste, y el criterio clínico que decide cuándo cada opción es realmente viable.

El procedimiento para colocar carillas es simple y, en la mayoría de los casos, menos invasivo que una corona dental.

La preparación consiste en desgastar solo la cantidad mínima necesaria del diente para crear el espacio adecuado para el material que se va a colocar. Los materiales actuales permiten fabricar carillas muy delgadas, lo que hace que la preparación sea más conservadora y cuidadosa con la estructura dental.

También existen carillas non-prep, que no requieren desgaste del diente. Esta técnica es una de las opciones más actuales y puede ofrecer mayor comodidad y buena retención cuando el paciente es candidato a ese tipo de tratamiento.

El dentista determina si el caso puede realizarse con preparación mínima o con non-prep, según las condiciones clínicas de cada paciente.
